As we strive for precision each day, as dancers and artists, precision, we realise, is elusive. But strive we must, as to do nothing will waste one away. In this continued process of practise and goal setting, I realise in the larger scope of things that it is all trivial at the end of it. Trivial, not in the sense of taking it lightly or disrespecting it, but in the sense that we only have the ability to strive, the realisation of precision or perfection is beyond our abilities, the surrender alone is in our control. The gap between our own abilities and precision cannot be the cause for agitation, but only an impetus to practise.
