Wouldn’t lie, the last 3 years have been a game of hide and seek with my mental health. From heartbreaks to professional setbacks to hitting rock bottom with financial crisis, its been a hell of a whirlwind. Something that I’ve learned is that none of this is an indicator of how “badly” you’re failing at life but the biggest chance for you to grow stronger, wiser and become a fighter. No amount of books can teach you to be a fighter more than your own personal life changing experiences. Some of my experiences were painful, I wouldn’t lie when I say that some of them were so excruciatingly painful that it almost felt like the end, like I’m going to die. Little did I know it was actually just the beginning. The day I stopped romanticising with my misery, was the day I started growing as a person. For better. From going to therapy, to meditation to maintaining a journal to talking to my family and rebuilding my dysfunctional relationship with my parents, I did it all. I reprogrammed my mind and nurtured my mental health. And here I am now.. infront of you. I dodged some bullets and let some of them pierce through my soul. The scar remains, but it’s a beautiful reminder to me that life will happen when you won’t realise it but you can’t stop. You have to keep moving, keep smiling, also cry sometimes. Hope you all take out the little time everyday and celebrate your mental health in the best possible way. Because it’s a priority and some priorities should never change.
