“Be the reason someone smiles today.” . . There is no harm in smiling and spreading smile among everyone, everywhere. I am sharing one such story with you all that is very close to my heart. I used to be a regular daily passenger in local trains while doing my graduation from Presidency University, Kolkata. College street used to be the home, the place to escape for me and getting indulged in that smell of old books, chaos of local bus and trum, echoes of teen giggles made me astonished every day, it's rare for a girl like me who was completely new to this city. One day as usual I was walking down the street after the Daybreak and just about to take a ride suddenly a tiny hand stopped me by grabbing from behind. I turned back and see those little n eyes filled with spark. I asked him "ei atkali keno amay? (Why did you stop me?), he asked for money in return and started nagging. I realized , this little fellow was a beggar 😞 he also seemed a bit dizzy. I decided not to give him money. Because maximum times either they misuse it or the amount end up with someone else. Rather I take those little hands and asked if he wants to eat something instead of money. He nodded and giggled. 😃 and I took him to a nearby small restaurant and filled his stomach with fried rice and chilly chicken. 😁 He was a little foodie I must say.
